Chicken-Rice Casserole ingredients

  • 1⁄4 c butter
  • 1⁄3 c All-purpose flour
  • 1 1⁄2 t Salt
  • 1⁄8 t Pepper
  • 1 c chicken broth
  • 1 1⁄2 c Skim Milk
  • 1 1⁄2 c Cooked rice
  • ---White or Wild
  • 2 c Cooked chicken Breast Halves
  • 4 oz Mushrooms
  • 1⁄3 c Chopped green bell pepper

Cooking Chicken-Rice Casserole

1. Heat oven to 350°.
2. Melt metter in large saucepan over low heat.
3. Blend in flour, salt and pepper.
4. Cook over low heat, stirring until mixture is smooth and bubbly.
5. Remove from heat.
6. Stiri in broth and milk.
7. Heat to boiling, stirring constantly.
8. Boil and stir 1 minute.
9. Stir in remaining ingredients.
10. Pour into ungreased baking dish (10x6x1.
11. 5 ), or 1 1/2-quart casserole.
12. Bakei uncovered 40 to 45 minutes.
13. Sprinkle with snipped parsley.
