Chicken sausage oyster gumbo ingredients

  • 1 c Oil
  • 1 c flour
  • 1 bell pepper, chopped
  • 3 Celery stalk, chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 Onion, chopped
  • 1 chicken, cut up
  • 1 lb Smoked sausage or andouille
  • 372529⁄-2009260032 qt water, boiling
  • 2 Bay leaf
  • 1 pt Oysters
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Rice, cooked

Cooking Chicken sausage oyster gumbo

1. Make a dark roux wtih oil and flour.
2. Add bell pepper, celery, garlic, green onions, and onions.
3. Sautei until tender.
4. Add chicken and brown.
5. Add sausage, boiling water, and bay leaves.
6. Let simmer 1 hour.
7. Remove chicken from bones.
8. Add chicken meat, salt, pepper, and oysters.
9. Cook 10 minutes more.
10. Serve over rice.
