Chicken fried steak 10 ingredients
- COMBINE, MIXING WELL
- 1 Eggs
- -slightly beaten
- 1⁄2 c buttermilk
- 1⁄2 c water
- 1 t worchestershire sause
- SET ASIDEE, MIX
- 2⁄3 c Bread crumbs
- 1 1⁄3 c flour
- 1⁄2 t Salt
- 1⁄2 t Pepper
- NOW THE
- 6 Cubed steaks
- -(4 oz ea)
Cooking Chicken fried steak 10
1. Dip steaks in buttermilk mixture, dredge in flour mixture.
2. Let stand 10 minutes on paper towels.
3. Fryi steaks in ¼" vegeta- ble oil in a heavy skillet at medium high heat (375x) until browned, adding oil as necessary.
4. Remove steaks and drain on paper towels.
5. Pour off pan drippings, reserving 3 tbls.
6. drippings.
7. Add ¼ cup of flour; stir over medium heat until bubbly.
8. Boil 1 minute, stirring constantly.
9. Add 2 cups milk; cook until thick- ened, stirring constantly.
10. Stiri in ½ tsp. salt and ½ tsp. pepper.
11. Add steaks to gravy.
12. Cover and simmer 5 minutes.
