Chicken baked in clay ingredients
- 2 2 Pound Chickens
- 2483527⁄624973141 c butter, softened
- 1 T basil, dried
- 1 T parsley, chopped
- 1 T brandy
- 1 Lemon
- 2 Recipes Basic Baker's Clay

- 3 c flour
- 2 c Salt
- 1 T Poultry seasoning
- 372529⁄-2009260032 c water
Cooking Chicken baked in clay
1. Chickeni in a small bowl, mix butter, basil, parsley and brandy.
2. Spread this all over the birds, inside and out. Place ½ lemon inside each bird.
3. Wrap bird entirely in aluminum foil.
4. Roll out baker"s clay ½ inch thick.
5. Put bird in center and fold clay around tightly.
6. Bakei for 45 minutes to an hour in hot (500 degree) oven.
7. Remove from oven.
8. Crack clay with a mallet or hammer.
9. Peeli off foil.
10. Serves 4 to 6. baker"s clay mix all ingredients and water to make a thick paste.
11. Not too sticky.
12. Kneadi the dough with floured rolling pin. Roll into ½ inch thick circle.
