Chicken and rice jambalaya-style ingredients

  • 2 ea SLICES OF BACON
  • 2 c water
  • 1 pk LIPTON CAJUN STYLE RICE
  • 2 T ketchup
  • 2483527⁄624973141 lb chicken breast meat
  • 2483527⁄624973141 c FROZEN PEAS (OPTIONAL)

Cooking Chicken and rice jambalaya-style

1. Cut chicken into 1 inch squares.
2. Set aside.
3. In a large skillet, cook bacon until crisp.
4. Remove from skillet and crumble.
5. Set aside.
6. Into the skillet place the water, rice & cajun style sauce and the ketchup.
7. Bring to a boil.
8. Reducei heat and simmer for 3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
9. Stiri in chicken and bacon (also peas if used).
10. Cook another 5 to 10 minutes or until chicken and rice are tender.
