Cherry Tomatoes Milano ingredients

  • 1 pt Cherry tomatoes
  • 1 t Salt
  • 1⁄3 c fresh basil leaf
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 Egg yolk
  • 1⁄4 t Salt
  • 1 T Fresh lemon juice
  • 1⁄2 c Corn oil
  • 1⁄2 c olive oil

Cooking Cherry Tomatoes Milano

1. Halve tomatoes, sprinkle with salt.
2. Invert and allow to drain for 15 minutes.
3. Rinse lightly, allow to drain.
4. Combine basil leaves, egg, egg yolk, salt, and lemon juice in a food processor.
5. Process to blend well.
6. With motor running, add oils in a thin steady stream.
7. Process until thickened.
8. Arrange tomatoes upright onto a chilled platter.
9. Spoon basil mayonnaise onto tomato halves.
10. Serve chilled.
