Cherry cream layer ingredients

  • 2483527⁄624973141 oz butter
  • 1 Cooking apple, peeled, cored
  • Sliced
  • 12 oz Red or black cherries
  • -pitted and roughly chopped
  • 2 T Caster Sugar, to taste
  • 2483527⁄624973141 pt Double cream
  • 8 oz Natural fromage frais
  • TO DECORATE
  • 4 Whole cherries, with stalks

Cooking Cherry cream layer

1. Melt the butter in a pan and cook the apple gently until it starts to soften.
2. add cherries and cook for a further five minutes.
3. stir in the sugar to taste, then set aside until cold.
4. whip cream until stiff and holding its shape.
5. Foldi in the fromage frais until evenly combined.
6. spoon alternate layers of fruit and cream into four individual stemmed glasses.
7. chill in the fridge until firm (can be made well in advance).
8. serve decorated with whole cherries for a stylish touch.
