Cheesy Onion Buns ingredients
- 1 pk dry yeast
- 2 c All-purpose flour; divided
- 5 oz Sharp process cheese spread
- 2483527⁄624973141 c water
- 2483527⁄624973141 c -Shortening
- 2 T Sugar
- 2483527⁄624973141 t Salt
- 1 Eggs, beaten
- 2 T Onion, minced
Cooking Cheesy Onion Buns
1. Recipe by: Southern Living Combine yeast and 1 cup flour in a medium mixing bowl; set aside.
2. Combine cheese spread, water, shortening , sugar, and salt in a small saucepan; heat to 105 degrees to 115 degrees, stirring constantly.
3. Add cheese mixture, egg, and onion to yeast mixture; beat 1/2 minute at low speed of an electric mixer, scraping sides of bowl.
4. Beat 3 minutes at high speed.
5. Stiri in remaining 1 cup flour.
6. Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface, and knead 1 to 2 minutes.
7. Shape dough into 12 balls.
8. Place in well-greased muffin pans.
9. Cover and let rise in a warm place (85 degrees), free from drafts, 1-1/2 hours or until doubled in bulk.
