- 2 Egg; lightly beaten
- 2483527⁄624973141 c Lemon juice
- 3 T butter Or margarine
- 2483527⁄624973141 c Sugar
- 1 t Grated fresh lemon peel
- Ds Salt
- 3 oz Cream cheese
Cooking Cheesy lemon spread
1. In heavy pan mix eggs, juice, butter, sugar and salt.
2. Bring to a boil while stirring over low heat, then cook 3 minutes more.
3. Beat cream cheese and lemon peel.
4. When egg mixture is cool, blend into cheese until smooth and store in refrigerator.
5. this recipe is from electric bread and is suggested to use with the almond poppy bread recipe.
