Cheese-and-bacon waffles

Cheese-and-bacon waffles ingredients
- 2 Eggs
- 2 c All-purpose* or whole wheat
- flour
- 1⁄2 c Vegetable oil or margarine
- -Or butter, melted
- 1 3⁄4 c Milk
- 1 T Granulated or
- Brown sugar
- 4 t baking powder
- 1 c Shredded sharp cheese (4
- -ounces)
- 8 sli Bacon, crisply cooked, and
- -crumbled
Cooking Cheese-and-bacon waffles
1. *if using self-rising flour omit baking powder.
2. Wafflei irons come in many shapes and sizes, and this batter works well.
3. Heat waffle iron.
4. Beat eggs with hand beater in medium bowl until fluffy.
5. Beat in flour, oil, milk, brown sugar and baking powder just until smooth.
6. Stiri in cheese and bacon.
7. Pour batter from cup or pitcher onto center of hot waffle iron.
8. Bakei about 5 minutes or until steaming stops.
9. Remove waffle carefully.
10. Twelve 4-inch waffle squares (three 9-inch waffles); 265 calories per square.
