Cauliflower and broccoli mornay

Cauliflower and broccoli mornay ingredients
- 1 head Cauliflower
- 1 head Broccoli
- 2 oz margarine
- 2 oz Plain flour
- 1 pt Milk
- 4 oz mozzarella cheese (grated)
- Salt & white pepper
- 1 Steamer
- 1 Deep oven-proof dish
- 1 Saucepan
Cooking Cauliflower and broccoli mornay
1. 1. Cut the cauliflower and broccoli into florets and then steam them until al-dente.
2. 2. Whilst they are getting steamed put the marg into a saucepan and melt it. 3. Stiri in the flour to make a roux then mix in the milk a bit at a time until it has made a nice thickish sauce, if it looks abit thin then let it boil up. 4. Place the cauliflower and the broccoli into the dish and then pour the sauce over the top. 5. Sprinkle the cheese on top and place into the oven and bake for 15 mins at gas mark 5, 190 degrees C or 375 degrees F.
