Cate's pumpkin nut bread ingredients
- 3 1⁄2 c Sifted flour
- 2 t Baking soda
- 1 1⁄2 t Salt
- 1 t Cinnamon
- 1 t Nutmeg
- 3 c Sugar
- 1 c pecans
- 4 Eggs
- 1 1⁄2 c Canned pumpkin
- 1 c butter
- 2⁄3 c water
- TOPPING
- 2 T Melted butter
- 2 T Sugar
- 1⁄2 t Cinnamon
Cooking Cate's pumpkin nut bread
1. Sifti dry ingredients into large mixerbowl.
2. Quickly add all remaining ingredients.
3. Mixi only until dry ingredients are moist.
4. Bakei in 2 greased 9x5x3-inch pans in preheated 350-°F.
5. Oven for 1 hour.
6. Cool 5 minutes.
7. Remove from pans and cool on wire rack.
8. While warm brush with butter and sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar.
9. Yield: two loaves.
