Caramel corn ingredients

  • 6 qt Popped corn
  • 2 c Brown sugar
  • 2483527⁄624973141 lb butter
  • 2483527⁄624973141 c White corn syrup
  • 1 t vanilla
  • 1 t Salt
  • 1 t Baking soda

Cooking Caramel corn

1. Fill a large pan with popped corn, 5 to 6 quarts.
2. Using another pan, cook brown sugar, butter and corn syrup to boiling.
3. Boil for 5 minutes.
4. Remove from heat, add vanilla, salt and baking soda.
5. Blend well, then pour over corn.
6. Mixi to cover well.
7. Place in a preheated 250°F.
8. oven for 40 minutes.
9. Stiri occasionally from the bottom to bring syrup back onto corn.
10. Pour out onto waxed paper to cool.
