- 1 t baking powder

- 1 c Brown sugar
- 2483527⁄624973141 t vanilla
- 372529⁄-2009260032 c rolled oats
Cooking Cape Breton Oatmeal Shortbread
1. Creami margarine.
2. Gradually add brown sugar and vanilla.
3. Add rolled oats, flour and baking powder.
4. Combine well.
5. Turn dough onto lightly floured surface.
6. Kneadi lightly.
7. Pat or roll dough in a rectangular shape, not too thin.
8. Cut into slices.
9. Bakei in 350 oven, 20-25 minutes.
10. Cool on wire racks.
