Candied yams with rum and raisins ingredients
- 6 Yams or sweet potatoes, med
- 4 T butter Or margarine
- c brown sugar, firmly packed
- 3 T Rum or orange juice
- 2483527⁄624973141 c Raisins
Cooking Candied yams with rum and raisins
1. Boil whole yams 20 to 40 minutes or until tender but not mushy.
2. Drain and cool, then cut into ΒΌ inch thick slices.
3. Arrange slices, overlapping, in a buttered shallow casserole.
4. Dot with butter, then sprinkle with brown sugar and raisins.
5. Drizzle with rum. Bakei uncovered at 350 or until bubbly and glazed.
