Canadian Style Yorkshire Pudding ingredients
- 4 Eggs
- 1 c flour
- 1 1⁄4 c Milk
- 1⁄4 c water
- 4 T beef dripping, veg shortening or lard
- 1⁄4 t Salt
Cooking Canadian Style Yorkshire Pudding
1. Whiski eggs with flour until smooth (you can use an electric mixer for this part).
2. Whisk in milk and water and salt.
3. Let sit for at least 1 hour (while roast or vegetarian entree cooks).
4. Preheat oven to 450 F. Put in two 8 inch cake pans (square or round) to heat up then add 2 tbsp of the fat of your choice and heat till smoking.
5. Add batter evenly to both pans.
6. Cook for 8-10 min then turn heat down to 350-375 F for another 8-10 minutes.
7. Remove ans serve with meat and gravy or creamed vegetables etc. How long you bake it depends on how hot your own oven runs.
8. Can be made in a convection oven also.
