Cabbage lasagna ingredients

  • 2 lb Ground beef
  • 1 Onion, chopped
  • 1 Green pepper, chopped
  • 1 med Cabbage, shredded
  • 1 t Oregano
  • 1 t Salt
  • 1⁄8 t Pepper
  • 18 oz Tomato paste, or
  • Tomato paste with italian
  • -SEASONINGS
  • 8 oz Mozzarella cheese, sliced*

Cooking Cabbage lasagna

1. Recipe by: bob b1744 * delicious using half provolone cheese, half mozzarella cheese.
2. Sautei ground beef, onion and green pepper until meat is brown.
3. Drain well.
4. Meanwhile, boil cabbage until tender, 2-5 minutes.
5. Combine 2 cup of liquid form cabbage with oregano, salt, pepper and tomato paste.
6. Simmeri or microwave for 5 minutes.
7. Add meat-vegetables mixture.
8. Simmer for 5 minutes more.
9. Spoon half of the tomato-meat mixture into a 13x9" pan. Layer well-drained cabbage on sauce then rest of sauce.
10. Top with sliced cheese to cover.
11. Bakei at 400°F.
12. for 25-40 minutes.
13. Cheesei can be added during last 5-10 minutes.
14. Can microwave for a while and then finish in oven, to cut down cooking time.
