Cabbage Beef Casserole

Cabbage Beef Casserole ingredients
- 1 lb Ground beef
- 2 medium-sized onions -- diced
- 1 medium-sized cabbage (about
- 2 lb ) coarsely sliced into about 1 1/2-inch Pieces)
- 2 medium-sized carrots -- thinly sliced
- 1⁄4 t Pepper
- 3⁄4 c regular long grain rice
- 1 cn beef broth -- (14 1/2 oz.)
Cooking Cabbage Beef Casserole
1. About 1 3/4 hours before serving: In 5 quart Dutch oveni or saucepot over high heat, cook ground beef and onions until pan juices evaporate and meat is well browned, stirring occasionally.
2. Remove Dutch oven from heat.
3. Add cabbage, carrots, pepper and 2 1/2 teaspoons salt.
4. Tossi to mix well.
5. Pour rice into 3 quart casserole.
6. Spoon beef mixture on top of rice.
7. Pour beef broth and 1/2 cup water over mixture.
8. Cover.
9. Bakei 1 hour and 15 minutes in a 350 degrees oven.
10. To serve, stir ground beef with rice to mix well.
