Bronx Brownies ingredients

  • 1⁄4 c -Shortening
  • 1 oz Semisweet chocolate
  • 1⁄2 c Maple syrup
  • 1 t vanilla
  • 1⁄2 c Sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1⁄2 c flour
  • 1⁄4 t baking powder
  • 1⁄4 t Salt
  • 1⁄2 c nuts

Cooking Bronx Brownies

1. Preheat oven to 300 °F. Melt shortening and chocolate together in medium saucepan over medium heat.
2. Add maple syrup, vanilla, sugar and beaten eggs.
3. Sifti flour, baking powder and salt, then add nuts.
4. Add this to first mixture.
5. Pour into a shallow pan which has been lined with well-greased wax paper.
6. Bakei at 300 °F. For 45 minutes or until done.
7. Cool and cut into 12 pieces.
