Bread cakes

Bread cakes ingredients
- 1 Egg yolk
- 3⁄4 c Milk
- 3⁄4 c water
- 2 1⁄2 c Dry bread crumbs
- 1 Egg white
- 2 c flour
- 2 t Salt
- 3 t baking powder
- 1 T Melted shortening
Cooking Bread cakes
1. Soak dry bread in water until soft.
2. Squeeze as dry as possible.
3. Then crumble and measure.
4. Beat egg yolk, add milk, water, bread crumbs, and shortening.
5. Sifti flour, measure, and sift with salt and baking powder.
6. Add to first mixture.
7. Mixi thoroughly.
8. Foldi in stiffly beaten egg white.
9. Drop by tablespoonfuls on hot griddle.
10. Bakei until well browned on both sides.
11. 12 servings.
