Bread and butter pickles 2

Bread and butter pickles 2 ingredients
- 12 large Cucumbers
- 6 med Onions
- 1⁄4 c Salt
- 1 qt Vinegar
- 2 c Brown sugar
- 1 T Dry mustard
- 1 T Turmeric
- 1 T Cornstarch
Cooking Bread and butter pickles 2
1. Wash, peel and slice cucumbers and onions.
2. Cover them with the salt and let stand overnight.
3. Bring vinegar and sugar to a boil.
4. Sifti together mustard, turmeric and cornstarch, mix with a little cold vinegar and add to vinegar and sugar.
5. Drain cucumbers and onions.
6. Put in vinegar solution and bring to a boil.
7. Pack into sterilized pint jars to within ½ inch of top.
8. Process in boiling water bath five minutes.
