Braised Veal Steak ingredients

  • 2 t Vegatable oil
  • 1 lb veal shoulder arm steak
  • 1⁄4 t Salt
  • 1⁄8 t Coarsely ground black pepper
  • 1 -Small Onion
  • 1⁄4 c water
  • 2 red potato
  • 1⁄4 lb Snow Peas

Cooking Braised Veal Steak

1. Heat 1 teaspoon of the oil in 12-inch nonstick skillet.
2. Add veal shoulder arm or blade steak and brown, turning once.
3. Remove veal from skillet.
4. Sprinkle with salt and pepper; reserve.
5. Cook onion in skillet in remaining oil over medium heat until crisp-tender, about 3 minutes.
6. Return veal to skillet.
7. Add water.
8. Cover and simmer over low heat 25 minutes.
9. Arrange potatoes in skillet.
10. Cover and continue cooking veal and potatoes until tender, 25 to 40 minutes.
11. Add snow peas to skillet.
12. Continue cooking, covered, until peas are crisp-tender, about 5 minutes.
13. Arrange veal, potatoes and snow peas on platter.
14. If desired, cook pan liquid over high heat until slightly thickened; spoon over veal steak.
