Boiled Fruit Cake ingredients

  • 2 c Brown sugar
  • 2 c Cold water
  • 1 c Raisins
  • 1⁄2 c Nuts; optional
  • 1⁄2 c Figs
  • 1 c butter
  • 2 t Cinnamon
  • 1 t cloves
  • 1 t Nutmeg
  • 3 Eggs, well beaten
  • 3 c flour
  • 2 t Soda
  • 1⁄4 t Cream of tartar

Cooking Boiled Fruit Cake

1. Mixi well and boil together for 10 minutes the first nine ingredients.
2. Remove and let cool thoroughly; then all eggs, flour, soda, and cream of tartar.
3. Bakei in loaf pan 350~ for about one hour.
