Black Bread#1 ingredients

  • 1 1⁄2 lb rye flour
  • 1 part Warm milk
  • 1 t Salt
  • 1 oz Baker's yeast

Cooking Black Bread#1

1. Dissolve the yeast in a little of the warm milk, add a little of the flour and leave to rise.
2. Add the other ingredients and once more leave to rise until it has doubled its bulk.
3. Bakei for two hours in a slow oven.
4. Black Breadi.
