Beef bulgogi

Beef bulgogi ingredients
- 1 lb Beef, sliced very thin
- -across grain into strips
- 2 T soy sauce
- 1 T Sugar
- 1 T Sesame oil
- 1 T Sesame salt (recipe below)
- 1⁄8 t Black pepper
- 4 Scallions, chopped
- -1-inch pieces
- 3 Cloves garlic, peeled crushed
- 1 t Grated fresh ginger
- 1 T Sak (or dry sherry)
- 1 T Red pepper flakes
- 1 T Peanut oil
- Toasted sesame seeds
Cooking Beef bulgogi
1. Combine soy sauce, sugar, sesame oil, sesame salt, pepper, scallions, garlic, ginger, sak and red pepper flakes in a medium-size bowl.
2. Add the meat and toss.
3. Allow to marinate at least 30 minutes.
4. Cook the meat over medium-high heat on a stove-top grill.
5. Heat the grill first, making it very hot. Add the oil. Cook the meat 1-2 minutes on each side, browning it nicely.
6. Garnishi with sesame seeds.
7. Sesame salt: place 1 cup sesame seeds in a frying pan over medium heat and toast, stirring constantly, until they just begin to turn a light brown.
8. Place in a food blender.
9. Grindi to a coarse texture and stir in the salt.
10. Keep in a covered jar in the refrigerator.
