Bavarian Green Beans

Bavarian Green Beans ingredients
- 18 oz Frozen green beans
- 1⁄4 lb Bacon
- 1⁄3 c Onions
- 4 oz Beer
- 2 T Sugar
- 1⁄4 t Salt
- 1⁄8 t white pepper
Cooking Bavarian Green Beans
1. Combine beans and a small amount of water in a saucepan, over a moderate flame.
2. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover, and steam until tender and heated through.
3. Remove from heat, drain well.
4. Combine bacon and onions in a skillet, over a moderate flame heat and stir for 5-10 minutes, until lightly browned.
5. Add beer and sugar-mix well.
6. Seasoni to taste with salt and pepper.
7. Heat to a boil.
8. Remove from heat and pour over beans.
9. Serve hot.
