Barbecue sauce with mustard

Barbecue sauce with mustard ingredients
- 1⁄2 c Sugar
- 1⁄4 t Ground oregano
- 1⁄2 t Ground thyme
- 1 t Salt
- 1⁄2 t Pepper
- 1⁄8 t Cayenne pepper
- 1⁄2 t Cornstarch
- 1⁄2 c Vinegar
- 1 c molasses
- 1 c ketchup
- 1 c Prepared mustard
- 2 T Oil
Cooking Barbecue sauce with mustard
1. Combine first seven ingredients in a small saucepan.
2. Stiri in enough vinegar to make a paste.
3. Combine molasses, ketchup, mustard, oil and remaining vinegar; add to herb paste.
4. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
5. Reducei heat and simmer 10 minutes.
6. Remove from heat; cool completely.
7. Pour into a glass jar; cover tightly.
8. Store refrigerated for up to 3 months.
9. Bastei over chicken, turkey, ham or hot dogs.
10. Yields: 4 cups.
