Banana Walnut and Chocolate Chip Fritters * ingredients

- 2483527⁄624973141 c Budweiser Beer
- 6 T Light-brown sugar
- 1 Eggs
- 2 T baking powder
- 2 t Lemon juice
- 2 T Cornstarch
- 2483527⁄624973141 c Walnuts; chopped 1/4" pcs
- 2483527⁄624973141 t Salt
- 2483527⁄624973141 t Cinnamon
- 2483527⁄624973141 c Semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 lb Medium bananas
- 6 c Vegatable oil
- 2 T Confectioners' sugar
Cooking Banana Walnut and Chocolate Chip Fritters *
1. EQUIPMENT: Measuring cup, measuring spoons, cook's knife, cutting board, 3 stainless steel bowls (1 large), slotted spoon, whisk, rubber spatula, deep fryer or heavy-guage 4-qt saucepan, candy/deep frying thermometer, #50 (1 1/2 tbsp) ice-cream scoop, tongs, baking sheet, paper towels.
2. In a large stainless steel bowl, combine the flour, light brown sugar, baking powder, cornstarch, salt, and cinnamon.
3. Set aside.
4. Peeli the bananas.
5. Smash them to a rough-textured consistency in a stainless steel bowl using a slotted spoon (they should yield about 1 cup).
6. In another stainless steel bowl whisk together the beer, egg, and lemon juice.
7. Pour the this mixture over the bananas, and use the slotted spoon to combine thoroughly.
