Baking powder and potato bread ingredients

  • 6 c flour
  • 4 t baking powder
  • 1 t Salt
  • 1 small Cold boiled potato
  • 1 t Sugar
  • Milk to mix

Cooking Baking powder and potato bread

1. Sifti together flour, sugar, salt and baking powder.
2. Rub in potato.
3. Add sufficient milk to make a soft smooth dough.
4. (approx 1 pint) mix quickly and put into a greased loaf tin. (¾ full).
5. Smooth top with a knife dipped in melted butter and bake immediately for ¾ - 1 hour at 400 degrees.
6. When cooked take from tin and wrap in a bread cloth ( dish towel will do fine), until cold.
