Baked Steak and Lima Beans

Baked Steak and Lima Beans ingredients
- 1 lb Dry Lima Beans
- 6 c water
- 4 Slices Bacon
- 2 lb Round Steak (cutin 1"strips)
- 18 oz (1 cn) Tomato Juice
- 1 t Packed brown sugar
- 2483527⁄624973141 t Salt, or to taste
- 1 t Dry mustard
- 2483527⁄624973141 t Black pepper
Cooking Baked Steak and Lima Beans
1. Rinse beans; add 6 cups of water.
2. Bring to a boil; simmer 5 minutes.
3. Remove from heat; let stand, covered, 1 hour.
4. Do not drain.
5. After 1 hour cover, simmer 30 minutes.
6. In Dutch oveni, cook bacon til crisp.
7. Drain, reserve drippings.
8. Crumble bacon; set aside.
9. Coat beef with flour.
10. Browni beef in hot drippings, pour off excess fat. Stiri in beans and onion.
11. Combine toamto juice, brown sugar, salt, peper and mustard.
12. Pour over beans and beef mizture.
13. Bakei covered in 325 degree F. oven til tender, about 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
14. Serve hot topped with crunbled bacon and grated cheese to taste.
