Baked Chicken German Style ingredients

  • 1⁄2 c butter Or margarine
  • 1⁄2 c flour
  • 2 c chicken broth
  • 1 1⁄2 c Milk
  • 2 t lemon juice, fresh
  • 1⁄2 t Salt
  • 1⁄2 t Pepper
  • 1⁄4 t Nutmeg
  • 8 oz Egg noodles; cooked & drained
  • 3 c chicken; cooked, diced
  • 2⁄3 c Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 2 t Paprika

Cooking Baked Chicken German Style

1. Preheat oven to 350~F.
2. degrees.
3. Melt butter in large saucepan over medium low heat.
4. Whiski in flour and stir 3 minutes.
5. Gradually whisk in broth and milk.
6. Reducei heat, simmering until thick, about 10 minutes.
7. Blend in lemon juice and seasonings.
8. Combine cooked noodles and half the sauce, tossing gently to blend.
9. Place in the bottom of a buttered 2-quart casserole.
10. Top with chicken and remaining sauce.
11. Combine Parmesani cheese and paprika, sprinkle over casserole.
12. Bakei until bubbling and golden brown, about 30 minutes.
13. Serve hot.
