Asian coleslaw ingredients

  • 1 1⁄2 T oil, olive
  • 3 T Lemon juice
  • 1 1⁄2 T Balsamic vinegar
  • 1⁄2 c Rice vinegar
  • 1 1⁄2 t Maple syrup
  • 3⁄4 t Salt
  • 1⁄4 t Pepper, black, ground
  • 1⁄4 t Pepper, cayenne, -=or=- more If desired
  • 6 c Orange, thinly sliced
  • 2⁄5 c parsley, chopped
  • 3 T Cilantro, chopped
  • 2⁄5 c Onions, red, minced

Cooking Asian coleslaw

1. In a large bowl, combine oil, lemon juice, vinegars, maple syrup, salt, black pepper, and cayenne.
2. Tossi with cabbage; let stand at room temperature for 1 hour.
3. Taste for seasoning and adjust if necessary, toss in parsley, cilantro and red onion.
4. Serve at room temperature.
5. Makes 8 servings.
