Artillery pie ingredients

  • 4 Golden Delicious apples
  • 6 T Sugar
  • 372529⁄-2009260032 t lemon juice, fresh
  • 2483527⁄624973141 t Cinnamon
  • 2483527⁄624973141 t Ginger
  • 8 Slices bread
  • 2 T butter

Cooking Artillery pie

1. Cut apples into quarters.
2. Place in a large pot, and add just enough water to prevent scortching.
3. Bring to a boil, lower heat and simmer covered until apples are soft, about 30 minutes.
4. Put through a sieve, discard skins and cores.
5. Stiri in sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon and ginger.
6. Trim the crust from the bread, spread with butter and toast in the oven at 500f for about 5 minutes or until lightly browned.
7. In a 2 quart baking dish, layer bread and apple mix. Bakei at 350f for 30 min. serve warm.
