Arroz Caldo (Rice porridge w/ chicken) ingredients
- 4 chicken drumsticks
- 1 c Uncooked Rice
- 2 T fish salt (patis)
- 6 c water
- 1 t Grated ginger
- 1 T Minced garlic
- 1 T Minced red onions
- 3 T Oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Minced spring onion leaves
Cooking Arroz Caldo (Rice porridge w/ chicken)
1. This recipe was from my late grandma, who loves to cook and it has been always served either breakfast or tea time and i would like to share this recipe to those who enjoys eating porridge.
2. Wash uncooked rice and set aside.
3. Sautei garlic with oil until brown,add onion and ginger.
4. Mixi chicken drumsticks and fish salt(patis) Cover and simmer for 2 minutes.
5. Add water and uncooked rice,stirring constantly for a minute then,cover to simmer for 20 minutes under low fire until rice is cooked.
6. Add salt and pepper.
7. Serve in a bowl and sprinkle minced spring onion leaves on top.
