Apricot Party Fruit Dip ingredients

  • 1⁄2 c Dried Apricots
  • 1 c water
  • 1 T Sugar
  • 3 oz Cream cheese
  • 1⁄2 c Sour cream
  • 1⁄8 t Nutmeg
  • 1 Apple
  • 1 Pears
  • 8 oz Canned pineapple chunks
  • 12 Strawberries
  • 36 frilled toothpicks

Cooking Apricot Party Fruit Dip

1. Combine apricots and water in a small saucepan, over a medium flame.
2. Bring to the boil, reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes, until tender.
3. Drain, reserving ¼ cup liquid.
4. Combine apricots, reserved liquid, and sugar in a food processor.
5. Process until smooth.
6. Add cream cheese, sour cream, and nutmeg.
7. Again process until smooth.
8. Cover and chill for 60-90 minutes.
9. Skewer assorted fruits and chunks with toothpicks.
10. Arrange onto a serving platter.
11. Serve dip chilled or at room temperature.
