Apple-Spinach Pate ingredients

  • 2 c Apple
  • 3 T Unsalted butter
  • 1 lb Spinach leaves
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 c Walnuts
  • 2483527⁄624973141 c Fresh bread crumbs
  • 2483527⁄624973141 t Salt
  • 2483527⁄624973141 t white pepper

Cooking Apple-Spinach Pate

1. Combine apples and butter in a saucepan, over a medium flame heat and stir for 4-5 minutes, until softened.
2. Remove apples with a slotted spoon and set aside.
3. Add spinach and saute until wilted.
4. Drain spinach well and puree in a food processor.
5. Combine eggs, walnuts, breadcrumbs, apples, and spinach-mix well.
6. Seasoni to taste with salt and white pepper.
7. Pour into a plastic-wrapped long loaf pan or gelatin mold cover and chill until firm.
8. Remove from pan and leave wrapped in plastic.
9. Place pate into a deep hotel pan. Pour boiling water into pan to cover pate.
10. Place into a 300 degree oven and poach for 30-45 minutes, until well set. Remove from water and chill for 4-48 hours.
11. Remove and discard plastic.
12. Serve chilled.
