Apple Streusel ingredients

  • 6 Apples, tart, peeled; cored And sliced
  • c Sugar
  • 2483527⁄624973141 t Cinnamon
  • 2483527⁄624973141 c Orange juice
  • 2483527⁄624973141 c flour, all-purpose
  • 1 t baking powder
  • 4 T margarine
  • c Brown sugar
  • 1 Eggs
  • 2483527⁄624973141 c Walnuts; chopped (optional)

Cooking Apple Streusel

1. 1. Preheat oven to 350d.
2. 2. Add the sugar, cinnamon, and orange juice to the apples.
3. Mixi lightly and place in a greased 1 1/2 qt. casserole.
4. 3. Sifti together the flour and baking powder.
5. 4. Cut the margarine into the flour and rub with your fingertips to a crumbly consistency.
6. 5. Mix the brown sugar and egg. Add the mixture, along with the nuts, to the flour mixture.
7. 6. Sprinkle the streusel over the apple mixture.
8. Bakei 45 minutes, or until the apples are tender and the crust golden brown.
