Apple sorbet ingredients

  • 5 large Tart apples, peeled
  • -cored and diced
  • -(Gravensteins, Jonathans
  • -Spartans are all great)
  • 1 lemon, juice
  • 1⁄2 c Sugar
  • 1 1⁄2 c Apple Cider
  • 2 T Apple brandy or Calvados
  • (optional)

Cooking Apple sorbet

1. Process apples with lemon juice in a food processor using the steel blade.
2. When the mixture is smooth, add sugar, apple cider and/or the liquor.
3. Process until everything is well blended.
4. Freeze in an ice cream maker.
