Apple Crunch Dessert ingredients

  • 1 c Quick cooking rolled oats
  • 1⁄2 c Whole bran cereal
  • 1⁄3 c Whole-wheat flour
  • 1⁄3 c Brown sugar - packed
  • 1⁄4 t Baking soda
  • 1⁄2 t Cinnamon
  • 1⁄4 t Nutmeg
  • 1⁄4 t Ginger
  • 1⁄2 c butter Or margarine
  • 1 pk Regular butterscotch pudding mix, 4 oz pkg.
  • 1 1⁄4 c Milk
  • 22 oz Apple pie filling
  • 1 t finely shredded lemon peel
  • 2 T Lemon juice

Cooking Apple Crunch Dessert

1. Mixi oats, cereal, flour, sugar, soda and spices.
2. Cut ini butter or margarine until crumbly.
3. Pat half the mixture into a 8x8x2 inch baking dish.
4. Bakei in 350~ oven 10 minutes.
5. Prepare pudding mix according to package directions except use the 1 1/2 cups milk.
6. Pour over crumb layer.
7. Mix remaining ingredients; spoon over pudding.
8. Top with remaining crumbs.
9. Bake, uncovered, in 350~ oven 30 to 35 minutes.
10. Serve warm or cool with ice cream, if desired.
