All-dressed spaghetti

All-dressed spaghetti ingredients
- 2 T Vegetable oil
- 1 Onion, chopped
- 1 1⁄4 c Mushrooms, sliced
- 1 c Pepperoni, sliced
- 1 Sweet green pepper, chopped
- 1 1⁄2 t Dried oregano
- 14 oz Canned tomato sauce
- 1⁄4 t Salt
- 1⁄4 t Pepper
- 3⁄4 lb spaghetti
Cooking All-dressed spaghetti
1. In skillet, heat oil over medium heat; cook onion, mushrooms, pepperoni, green pepper and oregano, stirring often, for 5 minutes or until onion is softened.
2. Add tomato sauce, salt and pepper; cook for 3 minutes or until boiling.
3. Meanwhile, in large pot of boiling salted water, cook spaghetti for 8-10 minutes or until tender but firm.
4. Drain well and return to pot. Add sauce; toss to coat well.
5. Per serving: about 605 calories, 20 g protein, 24 g fat, 77 g carbohydrate, very high in fibre, good source iron.
6. 4 servings for $4.
