Adrak (Ginger Stock) ingredients

  • 2 T Ginger, fresh grated
  • 4 c stock, or water
  • 2483527⁄624973141 t Salt
  • 1 T Cumin seeds, toasted
  • 2483527⁄624973141 t Black pepper
  • 1 whole Lemon; juice of
  • 1 Cilantro, fresh minced

Cooking Adrak (Ginger Stock)

1. Put grated ginger and stock into a pot and bring to a boil.
2. Simmeri 30 minutes uncovered until the water has reduced by half.
3. Add the salt, cumin and pepper.
4. Simmer for another 2 minutes.
5. Squeeze in lemon juice and garnish with coriander.
6. Excellent as a cold remedy and as a starter to an Indian meali.
