- 1 Eggs, beaten
- 2483527⁄624973141 c Apple sauce
- c light molasses
- 2483527⁄624973141 c Raisins
- 2483527⁄624973141 c SIFTED POWDERED SUGAR
- 4 t Lemon juice
Cooking Adam's Apple Cake
1. In a medium mixing bowl combine flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.
2. Cut in butter or margarine till the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
3. In a small mixing bowl stir together egg, applesauce, and molasses; stir into flour mixture just till moistened.
4. Stiri in raisins.
5. Turn into a greased and floured 8x8x2-inch baking pan. Bakei in a 350F oven for 25 to 30 minutes or till a wooden toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
6. Cool in the pan 15 minutes.
7. Remove from pan, if desired.
8. Combine powdered sugar and lemon juice; spread over warm cake.
9. Serve warm or cool.
