Acorn Squash with Applesauce ingredients
- 1 Acorn squash
- 1 t Lemon juice
- 2 T Seedless raisins
- 3⁄4 c Unsweetened applesauce
- 2 T Brown sugar
- 2 T Walnuts
Cooking Acorn Squash with Applesauce
1. Preheat oven to 400 °F. Scrub and halve acorn squash, then remove seeds.
2. Place, cut side up, in a baking dish.
3. Mixi together the lemon juice, raisins, applesauce, brown sugar and chopped walnuts.
4. Spoon mixture into the cavity of the squash.
5. Pour ½ inch of hot water into the bottom of the baking dish, cover and bake for 30 minutes.
6. Remove cover and bake for 30 minutes longer.
