$20,000 Prize-Winning Chili ingredients
- 2 1⁄2 lb Lean Ground Chuck
- 1 lb Lean ground pork
- 1 c Finely chopped onions
- 4 garlic cloves; finely chpd.
- 1 cn Budweiser beer (12 oz.)
- 8 oz Hunt's Tomato Sauce
- 1 c water
- 3 T Chili powder
- 2 T Ground cumin
- 2 T Wyler's beef-flavor instant bouillon (or 6 cubes)
- 2 t Oregano leaves
- 2 t Paprika
- 2 t Sugar
- 1 t Unsweetened cocoa
- 1⁄2 t Ground coriander
- 1⁄2 t Louisiana hot sauce,to taste
- 1 t flour
- 1 t Cornmeal
- 1 T Warm water
Cooking $20,000 Prize-Winning Chili
1. In large saucepan or Dutch oveni, brown half the meat; pour off fat. Remove meat.
2. Browni remaining meat; pour off all fat except 2 Tbsps.
3. Add onion, garlic; cook and stir until tender.
4. Add meat and remaining ingredients except flour, cornmeal and warm water.
5. Mixi well.
6. Bring to boil; reduce heat and simmer covered 2 hours.
7. Stiri together flour and cornmeal; add warm water.
8. Mix well.
9. Stir into chili mixture.
10. Cook covered 20 minutes longer.
11. Serve hot. Makes 2 quarts.
