Has your bag or box of brown sugar turned hard as a rock? Try this helpful hint: Place a slice of apple or fresh bread in the package of sugar and close securely. Let set for a few hours and your sugar will be as good as new!
Or microwave for approximately 30 seconds; let stand for another 30 seconds. Discard the apple or bread, and your now-softened sugar is ready to use again.
