Choc. fondue with fruit and cake ingredients
- chocolate SAUCE
- 1⁄2 c butter
- 6 oz Unsweetened chocolate
- 1 1⁄2 c Sugar
- 1⁄8 t -Salt
- 1 c Half and half
- 1⁄4 c (plus 2 T) orange liqueur
- Pound cake, 1 ΒΌ inch cubes
- Bananas, 1 inch chunks
- Fresh fruit, (apples, pears
- -cherries w/stems, peaches
- -pineapple, strawberries
- Marshmallows
Cooking Choc. fondue with fruit and cake
1. In saucepan, melt butter and cho. Over low heat.
2. Add sugar, half-and-half and salt.
3. Bring to a boil, cook over med. heat at a slow rolling boil, stirring constantly for 5 mins.
4. Until thickened.
5. Cover and refrigerate until needed.
6. When ready, heat choc.
7. Saucei in micorwave 20-230 seconds.
8. Add liqueur and stir to combine thoroughly.
9. Serve immediately with fruit and cake.
10. For two: pour one cup warm choc.
11. Sauce into dessert fondue pot and place over burner.
12. On a dinnner plate, attractively arrange pound cake cubes, bananas, fresh fruit, and marshmallows.
13. Serve with 2 fondue forks and 2 dessert plates.
